Sue and I spent this weekend with a group of chiropractors at a “Leadership Camp”. It was a challenging, wonderful, and heart opening experience for us both. One of the best parts of the weekend for me was before it even started.

We got to the site a day earlier.  There was no television, computer, or newspaper for distraction.  It was weird at first being alone, but by the afternoon I started to unwind, and felt an essential part of myself that I hadn’t experienced in such a long time. It was as if I became reacquainted with a good friend-myself.

What I realized is that, although it’s difficult in our busy world, it’s extremely important to carve out some quality time alone.  So ask yourself, when was the last time you’ve had some real quiet time just for yourself?
